FAQs
How long does it take?
If you want to be involved in the design process expect 2-3 weeks if there is no other work in progress. There is only one of me and one loom so every piece gets my full attention one-at-a-time! That’s what you should expect.
Please use my contact page link to get a more detailed response regarding any piece you may have in mind.
How to care for cashmere?
Be gentle! A few rules of thumb though.
1. Store flat to avoid it stretching. My scarfs come in a paper folder that can be used to store them safely in a drawer when not in use.
2. Wash in cold water if needed (or dry clean) with baby shampoo or wool wash. Gently agitate! Don’t scrunch it or take out the day’s frustration on it. (Do not put it in a washing machine, spin or tumble dry! You will not like the result). Do not wring out the water, just gently squeeze it out.
3. Try to dry flat if possible but as cashmere scarfs and shawls are very lightweight this is less of an issue.
Why do you do it when it takes so long?
I take great pride and pleasure in creating beautiful, lasting pieces that are bespoke and unique. In a world of mass production having the skill to make one special thing for one special person is extremely rewarding.
I hope you like my work and please contact me if you are at all curious.
